ESQUIRE:TSOVET's New Racecar-Inspired Watch

Limited-edition watch alert: Given that watchmaking and racecar-driving both have a lot do with split seconds and precision movement, it makes sense that TSOVET teamed up with the Chip Ganassi Racing Team — which has logged nearly 150 wins in various classes since 1994 — on the nice new watch above. With a gun metal case, a Valjoux movement from Switzerland, and some excellent red detailing (inspired by the team's colors), it's the sort of timepiece that would look great even on the wrists of those who aren't NASCAR fans. We've just come from the Gant by Michael Bastian show, where the very busy designer showed a second collection that was heavy on punk-prep layers, bright colors, and cargo pants, all worn by models that actually seemed like they were having fun.
