The fashion show presented by Miuccia Prada is also inspired by the 60s, but the details reveal the essence of a collection that is ahead of all the others.
photogallery »The pieces of Miuccia Prada are conceptual works of art, works of refined taste and ahead of all other offers on the runways of Milan.
As already seen in other shows, the fall-winter 2011-2012 trend is clearly inspired by the 60s, both in terms of the lines and color combinations. The result at Prada is however sensational and supersedes everything else.
Just like last September, the fashion show leaves one speechless and bewildered at first sight, but one can bet that next winter will be filled with Prada style details. As every year, Miuccia never misses the target.
The pieces shown on the runway at Milan Fashion Week are a celebration of clean and geometric lines as featured in trapeze dresses, wrap skirts and collage-style coats with large buttons. The details surprise with their contemporary and unpredictable style : the boots are python with contrasting or lurex inlays, the clothes feature large plastic pads resembling huge scales and fur collars resting on the shoulders, all reminiscent of the 60s revolution of Paco Rabanne, but at the same time made to look current, even futuristic.
