GQ:Sneaker of the Week: Karhu Fulcrum Star

fulcrum-490[2].jpg
Karhu, a little-known Finnish label, is making a rad running shoe that I can finally endorse. What I love most about it is the '70s simplicity of the white and blue-striped emblem, called the Fulcrum Star. Karhu, which means "bear" in Finnish, had three stripes on the side before Adidas ever existed, before selling the logo to Adi Dasler for 1800 Euros and 2 bottles of whiskey—a damn good deal, if you ask me. A small brand, Karhu is only available in Boston at Bodega and South End Athletic Company. If you don't have a "frikin' wicked cah" to take you there, then check out their website.
$79.99, available at karhuoriginals.com
