Spotted this watch while on Mr. Porter and was immediately drawn to it—mostly due to the clean and minimal design, but also in large part due to the casement. It's not as deep, big, and bulky as you'd expect from a watch with this style. Its matte black finish and polyurethane rubber strap give it a stealth, masculine vibe. Designers Patrick Bek and Oliver Fowles were inspired by the simplicity and utilitarian styles of Art Deco and mid-century clocks that British manufacturers put in General Post Offices. Thankfully, Mr. Porter is making this watch, which came out in 2009, available in the U.S. In fact, it's one of the first fashion watches they've offered stateside (the first of many to come we hear). Get any of the options from the line. They're all timeless and at $175 you can't go wrong.
