If Steven Alan has anything to do with it, you'll still be wearing colorful chinos, no socks, and desert boots next spring. Even if Alan himself wishes he could move beyond that combination. "There are only like three shoe options for men," he told The Style Blog at his presentation today. Desert boots and bucks, he mentioned, before trailing off on the third. "I'd really like to get into doing men's shoes, but it's really hard to find a factory that can actually do them. Men care about quality." Alden, maybe, or somewhere in Italy. And next season, perhaps? "Hopefully." From a man who does such great work with clean lines, hope is definitely the operative word here.
